     The idea behind Vocals Only is making ripples in the mainstream world. On May 11, 2004, Def Jam Records released an official acapella version of Jay-Z's Black Album. This on the tail of the astounding underground buzz created by DJ Dangermouse's Grey Album, which layers Jay-Z's vocals over breaks and loops from The Beatles' White Album.

     Gradually, everyone is beginning to realize what we here at Vocals Only already knew: both professional and aspiring producers want and need fresh vocals for their productions. Vocals with which they can practice remixing, add to their voice-less productions, or create an exciting mash-up by colliding a Remix Pack with an unexpected instrumental track.

     What's even better is that you don't have to wait for months for an acapella version of tracks that people have heard a million times. DJs all over the world are including Vocals Only Remix Packs on their mixtapes and in their live sets, and adding some originality and flavor to their tracks.

     That is exactly what has happened for American producer William U, as a Vocals Only Remix Pack has become the basis of his commercially released song. William U is a rising star in the American dance music scene, having released records on Star 69, the premiere dance music imprint in the United States. DJ Choice recordings has recently released "I Can't Hear You," a twelve-inch vinyl dance single based upon samples from "Headphones On" by Keely.
